Monopoly Speed Die!

I am a huge fan of Monopoly but like many people I think that it can take a bit longer than most people would like. Because of this fact it can be a bit hard to find willing victims er I mean players. I first encountered the speed die in the Nintendo Wii version of Monopoly and thought that I should have one for the actual board game version. After doing research it looks like there was a version released with the speed die and special rules. I have a few themed version of monopoly already and didn't feel like buying a new copy just for a simple die. I created a custom die and rule card to be used. This can be added to any of the random version that I have.

HUMANS!!! custom character cards

I should start off by talking a little bit about the first game in this series that came out called ZOMBIES!!!. It was a tile based board game where you play as human players trying to kill a set number of zombies or reach the helipad and then safety. Pretty basic but very fun came that always has a different "board" payout due to the tiles played each turn.

Then there was HUMANS!!! This is a game very much in the same realm of ZOMBIES but this time you play as the zombies trying to infect or eat your way to winning. This has actually surpassed zombies as my preferred game out of the two.

In HUMANS!!! you get a character card with unique attributes and special abilities. I wanted to incorporate some of the original zombie figures from zombies so I created these custom character cards.

Chez Geek custom cards

Chez geek will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first non traditional game that I ever owned. I got a copy many many years ago from a friend and have played it for years. When I started getting into custom card making I had to create some cards for this much loved game.

The idea for the "Piggy Bank" card I wandered across on boardgamegeek.com but the assistant card was created entirely from my head.

Custom FLUXX cards

I love the game of ever changing rules that is known by FLUXX. It was created by a zany guy named Andrew Looney of Looney labs games. I am an active member of there fan site http://looneylabs.ning.com/ and created these custom cards that I have posted on the site. I started by lifting elements from actual cards and creating a template so that all I have to do now is edit layers. These are very high quality files that can be printed and then stuck onto Fluxx Blanxx and put into your chosen Fluxx deck.

Lunch Money Lunch Box

I created this from scratch using styrene for a buddy who is moving out of states. It was designed and built to hold a card game called "Lunch Money" along with a scratch built thermos to hold all the counters needed. This is my first major scratch build project aside from some much smaller custom G.I Joe weapons. I think this turned out fantastic seeing as its my first full build. I got into scratch building in order to work on a fully scratch built TF..... More on that later :-D I am also thinking about doing another one of these as a reproductions 80's TF lunch box just for fun. All comments and criticism welcome.
