Custom Casted Frost Giant Shields

This was created from scratch using Styrene and then casted using durable resin. They can be cast in tan, or any shade of blue, They can also be cast and then painted.

Cast in tan is $3 for one.
Cast in blue is $3.50 for one
Painted is $5.50 for one
If you want multiples we can work something out.

These will be individually packaged and numbered. They will be cast on a per request basis.

If you are interested please contact me

Please keep in mind that these are a garage kit and cast by me. I am not a professional but am a perfectionist. If you have any problems with the product I will do my best to resolve them with you.

Here is the mold that I created to make these in case you where interested.

Custom Frost Giant WIP

I was in a local discount store the other day and came acrost an avatar toy and for some reason I thought that it could make a good base for a custom Frost Giant toy. This is going to require a ton of mods to make it looks right.

Here is the base figure.

Here is a shot of the body next to the normal Frost Giant from the Thor movie line.

I have already started cutting and sculpting. I have trimmed off all of the ornate avatar stuff from the arms and chest and have shortened the arms up to me more in proportion. I still have to re sculpt them to be more muscular.

I have started a custom head sculpt for him as well. I used the base head for the nose and eyes and decided to have his mouth stapled closed. I have already started on the second layer of sculpting the helm on him. This is still very rough, I am going for a big of an ogre look to him.

Plastic casting!

Long story short, I was unable to get my pressure casting stuff set up. :-( I had tried multiple pressure vessels all had slow leaks at the welds so I returned it and will be ordering another brand from the interwebs in a few weeks.

I decided to just make a mold because I allready had the mold box prepped and ready to go. Here is the second half of the mold poured. I am using Lego for my mold box instead of acrylic like I was originally going to because of the modular nature.

Thor Frost Giant Axe and Shield WIP

I have been working on some more weapons for the Frost Giants. Here is the axe unpainted.

This is a shield that still needs some detail work and possibly a handle redo.

Custom Orion Pax Trailor

For those who dont know, Orion Pax is who became Optimus Prime. Ever since I got the E-Hobby Orion Pax I felt like he needed something. First I got the reprolables set and that satisfied me a little bit. One day I was looking at him and still couldn't get Kup out of my head and it hit me, he needed a "trailer" to more more like Prime.

This was scratch built using styrene then primed and painted. I maid some decals in photoshop to try and match the reprolables. I am not sure if I am going to clear coat this and if I should use a flat or gloss.

It fits very snugly using the target master as its peg. I did not paint the bottom because I did not want paint rub.

Yes, I know he looks like a space Mini Van :-D

Marvel Universe Frost Giant Sword

5/13/11 - Project Completed

I did the final paint on this bad boy and clear coated it. It turned out amazing!! I will probably work on some more weapons for him.

5/11/11 - Project Updated
Painted up the Frost Giant sword. Didnt end up doing it like I saw it in my head but I think it turned out good. Still need to clear coat it

5/10/11 - Project Started

I was finally able to pic up a Frost Giant today and I hate the weapons. Its cool that they are clear but they are just soooo cheesy . I decided to do something about it.....
